Why You Should Play Vegas Strip Blackjack

Casino fans have revelled in the opportunity to play blackjack for decades, and Vegas Strip Blackjack offers you the opportunity to enjoy the variant which is perhaps the hottest in the heart of Sin City. It is not ever so common to find this game in bricks-and-mortar casinos outside North America, and provides a good strategic challenge. The only differences to classic blackjack are subtle rules about how a player can move and the amount of decks used, but it is still easy to pick up for beginners and Microgaming’s version will help you find your feet quickly.

How to Play

When you open up the game you will take your place at a table opposite the dealer. The rules can be found in the top-left corner and are as follows:

  • This is an American Hole card game
  • Dealer peeks on 10, value cards and Aces
  • Played with 4 regular decks
  • Dealer must stand on all 17
  • Double down on any two cards
  • Double down after split
  • Split 3 times to make 4 hands
  • Aces can only be split once
  • Only one card to split Aces
  • In a split hand, Ace and 10 counts as 21 and not BJ
  • Unlike 10, value cards can be split

Before you start, decide on how much you wish to wager by hitting the + and – symbols. The value of your bet will be shown above and an equivalent chip is placed on the table. Tap 'Deal' when you are ready to begin the game, and you will receive two cards. As you proceed, the available options to Hit, Stand, Double or Split will be illuminated, and you can try to beat the dealer without going over 21. When the game is over, you can collect any winnings, or reconsider the value of your bet and then deal again.
