Australia Powerball
Australia Powerball is a weekly game which has the potential to turn players into multimillionaires if they can match all the numbers drawn.
The game was launched in 1996 and a series of changes in recent years have helped to push the jackpots higher on a more regular basis.
The top prize starts at AU$3 million and often reaches eight figures. The biggest prize in the history of the game came in July 2009, when two ticket holders shared the Division 1 pool of AU$80 million.
Australia Powerball Draw Schedule
The weekly draw takes place on a Thursday at 9:30pm AEDT, with ticket sales closing at 8:30pm on the night and resuming shortly after the draw.
How to Play Australia Powerball
Australia Powerball players are required to select seven numbers from 1 to 35 and an additional Powerball number between 1 and 20. There are nine cash prize divisions, so it is possible to pick up cash awards for matching as few as two numbers plus the Powerball. The jackpot is won if anyone matches all seven main numbers plus the Powerball.
